The PDScope^TM is a part of the PDCheck^TM family and particularly designed to be an integral part of TECHIMP’s monitoring systems.

Integrated into TECHIMP’s PDHubs^TM, the PDScope^TM is a powerful PD analyzer based on Techimp TF Map technology (patented) allowing preliminary noise rejection and automatic calculation of statistical parameters relevant to Partial Discharges through its high resolution and fast sampling rates.

The PDScope^TM is the ideal device for PD Monitoring of HV Cable, Generators, GIS, MV cable and switchgear as well as transformers.

Characteristics

Techimp patented technology allows different PD phenomena to be classified on the basis of their pulse shape, so that further analysis can be carried out on each dataset, separately. This enhances the likelihood of PD source identification, even in the absence of a skilled operator. Techimp acquisition technology also provides efficient noise rejection. As a matter of fact, noise signals have been observed to be very different from PD signals. Therefore, Techimp classification system can be successful in separating the contributions of PD from those generated by disturbances. Specifically, each PD pulse waveform is acquired and the so-called equivalent time-length and bandwidth are evaluated and plotted on the TF map. Different types of discharges (e.g. PD due to distributed microvoids, slot discharges and noise in a rotating machine) shall group into different clusters in the TF map being characterized by different pulse shapes.
