Critical asset monitoring
The IntelliSAW IRM Reader is a remote monitoring unit providing temperature, partial discharge, and humidity sensing for predictive condition-based monitoring of electrical power critical assets such as switchgear, circuit breakers, and bus ducts.
Multiple IRM Readers can be bussed to a CAM-5 system providing immediate data display and alarming, or easily integrated into an existing substation SCADA system.
Relative humidity and ambient temperature
The IntelliSAW Humidity Sensor provides real-time, continuous monitoring of electrical power critical assets to identify the potential for flashover The sensor’s sintered cap, threaded body, water resistant M 12 connector, and 4 kV surge protection provides the level of packaging robustness required for reliable operation in harsh environments. The IntelliSAW Critical Asset Monitoring (CAM) platform units allows up to 8 humidity sensors to be bussed together for multiple location installations such as along a bus duct.
Low Profile (SAW)
IntelliSAW\’s low-profile (LP) sensors have all of the benefits of the IntelliSAW SAW (IS) sensors, with slightly differnet dimensions to accomodate differnet installation requirements.
In some installations, having a low-profile sensor allows for installation of sensors where taller bolt-mounted IS sensor would not have the propper clearance. This low-profile sensor allows for unique istallations, such as installation directly onto a circuit breaker arm.
Standard Profile (SAW)
The IntelliSAW temperature sensors are the ideal method for real-time, continuous monitoring of medium or low voltage critical asset hot-spots such as bus bars, breaker contacts, and cables.
Surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology enables a 100% wireless, passive (no power required) continuous temperature monitoring sensor. The SAW sensors were specifically designed for electrical power assets with basic insulation levels (BIL) up to 185kV.
